I use fibers and materials that are partially or wholly made with recycled, upcycled, natural and/or organic materials. I use local sources and materials made in the US as much as possible. I also re-use or use recycled packaging materials.

Welcome to Linda Gibbs Handmade, in business since 2007, when I experienced a case of insomnia due to stress. Crochet, which I learned from my mother as a child, helped me relax, improved my health, and let me indulge my creativity and passion for yarn, crochet and environmental sustainability.

I offer quality items, made by hand in my home, that are good for you, and good for the earth. With a background in environmental science, I seek out ecofriendly fibers and materials to create quality crocheted items for you. I use natural, sustainable, organic, recycled, reclaimed, and up-cycled materials, and buy fibers made and/or grown as close to me as possible to reduce the carbon footprint of its delivery. I also seek out materials from areas where my purchases help people in developing communities worldwide.
